Oddly, there was a paragraph in my post about it that has disappeared. I haven't checked if my work benefits cover this (I doubt it), but our provincial plan will if it's deemed as a health risk due to infections or skin issues. Otherwise, I need to have at least $10,000 since without the problems, it's cosmetic.
A consultation with a dermatologist may be a wise idea before making any permanent decisions. There are areas that may be amenable to laser assisted liposuction which can in some situations do amazing things in tightening skin.
I know I will likely be looking at stuff like this myself in a year's time.
Liposuction is definitely considered cosmetic surgery here. It's not covered and there is no cost control that I know. Still, I'll ask my professionals.
I will keep this offer in mind, and I thank you for it. I need to be in a better frame of mind and talk to my own clinic first about what to expect as the program winds down. Hopefully I will reach out to you in a week or two.
The clinic says that to be considered for work benefits/provincial medical plan coverage, that I have to maintain or decrease my body weight for at least six months to a year and have documented issues with health relating to the hanging skin.

I can do anything I like if I pay for it myself.
