I enjoyed reading this post! One of my favorite bedtime story cookbooks is an early Christopher Kimball book called The Yellow Farmhouse Cookbook, about cooking and sourcing ingredients where he lives in rural Vermont.

I remember when you moved. Would you return to Key West if property prices plummet there?

i tend to reread my "best of gourmets" and my julia child books the most often.

and yes, if prices did plummet i would move back to the keys, but i am not holding my breath.

Funny that you mention missing Key West. My dad lived there for 10-15 years, both the Keys and Key West in general. He and I were chatting about how much he still misses the Keys.

So the meme is quirks...hmmm..let me have a go!

yeah, i lived there for 26 years. so though Michigan is still home, in that i was raised here, Key West is the home of all of my adult relationships.
