It's true that you can never go back to having the things you had and enjoyed as a kid. Sure, old TV shows and toys can be found and replace, but none of the moments. When we were together, I did what I could to make it a special day for you... but I'm sorry that with the distance we have now (both physically living far apart, and emotionally no longer being all that particularly close) that I couldn't help more...
... It doesn't help that I still have a hold of your CHRISTMAS PRESENT for God's sake... UGH. I'll send that off this week, and hopefully the gift of the literary fairy will cheer you up some.
