A battle! City, who wants to fight? There's a grand stadium there, and no one for me to enter it with. Surely more of you have the thirst for combat today.

Onward!

nom nom nom, fighting curse day, stadium

Are you really so eager to die?

Eager to kill, then, I see?

Not necessarily. Who says you have to kill to win.

Well, you said I wanted to die, so I assumed that was your style. You don't have to -- knockout, first blood, all kinds of conditions work. Me, I just like a challenge.

And what might I call you, in case this resolves?

Mistress.

Haha, I'm kidding. You can call me Claudine. And you?

In a hurry, aren't you? I'll have to think about that one.

Nagarov.

LOL. That made my day. beast_unbound October 9 2008, 20:27:29 UTC
Zell, I'm not going to eat the kittens or anything. It's okay.

You want to give it a go in the Stadium? Come on, like you have anything better to do these days, eh?

W-what?! NO! I have to work and you know, FEED MY CATS. Those are plenty better things to do.

You better not eat those kittens, or I swear to Hyne...

Twitch, Zell, twitch. ^_^ beast_unbound October 9 2008, 20:31:40 UTC
Work ends in the evenings, and your cats only have to be fed a few times a day. You have an hour of time somewhere in there. C'mon, I'm not scary.

And don't worry; puppies taste better, anyway. They're fatter.

[She stands at the entrance of the coliseum, staring up at its height, shielding her eyes from the setting sun. Claudine, as usual, looks pleased as punch, though she's about to get into a scuffle and she's wearing the same clothes she wore yesterday.]

Nagarov always looks about the same every day, although today his shirt sleeves are pushed up a bit and the red organism-gloves on his hands extend halfway up his arms. He has a calmly intense look, eyes scanning the coliseum and noting the entrance not far away. The magical woman is there -- whatever she is, she hasn't told him yet, and that makes him a little wary. But his human form is frozen into that same cool look, although his thousands of minds are meshing in a unified flurry of thought and planning. He orders the body to look at Claudine, nod, and give her what could be construed as a friendly, confident look.

Ready when you are.

[Claudine looks toward him, able to feel the power about him. She cannot get a good grasp on whatever is within him though, a fact that surprises her. Then again, it seems as if everyone in the City is hard to pin down.

Where there is a flurry of thought in her opponent, Claudine's mind is blissfully blank, except for fleeting question of how often it rains here.]

Of course.

[Her smile widens and there's a small pop; her tall figure vanishes. She reappears beside him and kisses his cheek.]

I'm so happy to meet you in person!

argh I'm sorry I got delayed beast_unbound October 10 2008, 03:11:41 UTC
(He shifts at the pop, not quite a flinch, but a flowing slide. Teleportation. And that probably isn't all he should expect. He nods at her, his smile at half-strength now, and motions toward the entrance with a faint cavalier bow.)

And you as well.

Keeping an eye on her, he heads at a diagonal towards the entrance.

It's a way to let off steam, keep your mind and reflexes sharp, so on. Lots of reasons.
