A battle! City, who wants to fight? There's a grand stadium there, and no one for me to enter it with. Surely more of you have the thirst for combat today.
Well, you said I wanted to die, so I assumed that was your style. You don't have to -- knockout, first blood, all kinds of conditions work. Me, I just like a challenge.
[She stands at the entrance of the coliseum, staring up at its height, shielding her eyes from the setting sun. Claudine, as usual, looks pleased as punch, though she's about to get into a scuffle and she's wearing the same clothes she wore yesterday.]
Nagarov always looks about the same every day, although today his shirt sleeves are pushed up a bit and the red organism-gloves on his hands extend halfway up his arms. He has a calmly intense look, eyes scanning the coliseum and noting the entrance not far away. The magical woman is there -- whatever she is, she hasn't told him yet, and that makes him a little wary. But his human form is frozen into that same cool look, although his thousands of minds are meshing in a unified flurry of thought and planning. He orders the body to look at Claudine, nod, and give her what could be construed as a friendly, confident look.
[Claudine looks toward him, able to feel the power about him. She cannot get a good grasp on whatever is within him though, a fact that surprises her. Then again, it seems as if everyone in the City is hard to pin down.
Where there is a flurry of thought in her opponent, Claudine's mind is blissfully blank, except for fleeting question of how often it rains here.]
Of course.
[Her smile widens and there's a small pop; her tall figure vanishes. She reappears beside him and kisses his cheek.]

(He shifts at the pop, not quite a flinch, but a flowing slide. Teleportation. And that probably isn't all he should expect. He nods at her, his smile at half-strength now, and motions toward the entrance with a faint cavalier bow.)
And you as well.
Keeping an eye on her, he heads at a diagonal towards the entrance.

You better not eat those kittens, or I swear to Hyne...

And don't worry; puppies taste better, anyway. They're fatter.
