What is that --

(Sounds of fire being doused, faster breathing, lots of sparking and hissing, a couple of words in another language that are said in such a way that they're obviously swears. The voice that follows is calm, plain, and sounds larger than a human' ( Read more... )

Don't worry. It's probably a curse of some kind. I've seen a man going around in green, lately, who is clearly of deity origin.

I don't think it's a curse.

Lab fire. Someone teleported a burning tree into my shop. Do you know what this could be?

...I didn't get one myself, it was given to me. According to others I know, it isn't a curse. It had candle ornaments.

Do you know who would do such a thing? I have no enemies here, as far as I can tell.

Candle ornaments? No one actually uses those anymore, do they? I thought everyone used anbaric lights here.

Are you sure they didn't get it through some other way?

...Anbaric?

Yes, quite sure. After your escapade, I sealed off every possible entrance, even the ductwork. There is no way someone could fit a tree through there without magic. Perhaps they shrank it, I don't know. But there was no one in the shop beforehand -- I remember that.

Sorry. Most people here call it electric power.

Well... If they really wanted to do some damage, they could have replaced the candles with lit explosives... Or dusted the whole thing in flour. It sounds like a prank.
