Title: It's Love If You're Crazy
Author: blindmuffins
Pairing: Junseob
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Stressed out and tired, Yoseob questions his relationship with Junhyung.
Author's Notes: I was inspired by Youngjee's song "It's Love If You're Crazy" ft. Junhyung, hence the title. The song's the reason why things start out a little...sad but then I saw the cutest fanvid of Junseob and I had to include it. It's going to come up in part 2! It's my first time really writing kiss scenes (& etc.) so forgive me if it's bad? :<
A brown leaf on a near barren tree fluttered to the grey sidewalk below as a sudden gust of wind shook the empty branches. The eerie whistle sent shivers down his spine. Pulling the hood over his freezing ears, Yoseob stuffed his hands into the down jacket’s shallow pockets all the while cursing at the weather. He didn’t understand why winter had to be so darn cold. Trudging along the bleak cityscape, he wondered what the other members were doing. His schedule had just ended and he was tired; exhausted really. For some reason, it had been extremely tough recently. He just couldn’t shake off that feeling of weariness. Perhaps it had something to do with the intense lack of sleep. The circles under his eyes were getting so dark that even the coordi noonas were beginning to worry. Thinking about how he constantly had to listen to them nag while they piled thick make up onto his face made Yoseob frustrated.
“Ugh, I hate this. I’m getting no sleep and yet there’s always a ton of things to do. Even my meals are being thrown in only when I’m free.” As he sighed, his breath formed a small mist in front of his. “IT’S SO COLD!” he exclaimed, annoyed, after which he proceeded to pull at the strings of his hood. It tightened until only his eyes and nose showed through the hole.
For Yoseob, the lonely 5 minute walk through the streets was excruciating. He desperately wished that his friends could have been with him. He needed their warmth; both physically and emotionally. Upon entering the lift to his dorm, he felt a vibration in the pocket of his jeans. It was their manager calling. Yoseob tried to keep his phone between his right ear and shoulder while he rummaged his bag for the dorm keys.
“Yohbuseyo? Yoseob ah,”
“Ah, hyung. Is there something wrong?” Feeling the cold metal of his keys, Yoseob pulled them out of his bag and attempted to open the door. However, his numb fingers caused his to drop the keys and while trying to grab them in mid-air, he dropped his phone too.
“Shit! Damn it, why does everything have to fall?” Yoseob’s mood was getting worse by the minute. He picked up both his keys and phone and opened the door before answering the call again.
“Hyung, are you still there?”
“Yeah, I am. What happened, are you okay?”
“I’m fine, nothing’s wrong. So, what did you want to tell me?”
“You know how you were supposed to go for a photo shoot in the evening? Due to some circumstances, it’s been pushed to tomorrow morning. However, because you have to appear on that variety show with Doojoon, I’ve rescheduled it to the shoot to Friday.”
“Oh I see. Okay, I’ll take note of that. Thanks hyung.” Hanging up, Yoseob sighed. It was a relief that he had ended work for the day but thinking about Friday made him worried. Friday was already jam packed with things to do in the day. However, he was free in the evening and was anticipating a good rest. He had planned to visit his family’s restaurant with Doojoon and Junhyung. It sucked that his plan was no longer viable.
Sulking, Yoseob slammed open the bedroom door and threw his bag onto the floor. He grabbed the towel hanging off his bed and proceeded to the bathroom. What he needed the most was a long hot shower.
Steam had filled the entire room as Yoseob stepped out of the shower and slipped into the hot bath water. He laid there, a towel under his head and stared blankly at the ceiling. Just as he closed his eyes, he heard a loud sound. Yoseob could tell that there was someone was at the door and that the someone was frustrated. Standing up, Yoseob pulled the stopped out and let the bath water drain. He wrapped a towel around him before heading out. In the bedroom, Yoseob pulled on sweat pants before shouting out, “Who just came home?”He heard a groan as the ‘stranger’ pulled off his boots and tossed them onto the floor.
“It’s just me,”
Just me? Yoseob wondered who it was. The voice was so familiar that he was sure it was one of the members and yet, it sounded strange. However, before he could care who it was that had just arrived, Yoseob’s main priority was to find a clean shirt. Due to BEAST’s hectic schedule, the dorm was a mess and things were strewn everywhere. If it were summer, Yoseob would have just walked out with no shirt on, but being winter, it was too cold for him to handle doing that.
Outside, Junhyung dragged his feet to the kitchen and yanked at the fridge door. “Isn’t there supposed to be that one bottle of soju left?” he muttered to himself. He dug through stashes of leftovers before pulling out a green glass bottle. Popping open the lid, he drank directly from the bottle. After gulping down half the bottle, he pushed it back into the fridge and carelessly wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. Staggering a little under the influence of the alcohol, Junhyung made his way to the bedroom. Entering the room, he noticed a half dressed Yoseob in the middle of pulling a white t-shirt on.
“Oh, hyung, it was you.” Yoseob tugged his shirt down and turned to look at Junhyung. Something was off about the older man and to Yoseob it was dead obvious. “Yah, what’s with the bad mood?”
Junhyung stared hard into Yoseob’s eyes and stated, “I didn’t expect anyone to be home. But since you’re here…” In a sudden motion, Junhyung closed the space between them and roughly slammed Yoseob into the wall.
The younger boy’s eyes widened, “Hyung, what are you doing? What’s wrong?”
“Nothing. I don’t want to talk about it, so shut up.” As the last word left Junhyung’s lips, he crashed his mouth into Yoseob’s. His left hand moved off the wall and into the younger’s hair. Yoseob’s arms were still limp against his sides as his eyes slowly closed. The kiss felt good, it tasted so sweet. And yet it hurt. Junhyung was being so rough that it hurt. But to Yoseob, the pain felt good. It helped him forget about his worries for a while and he began to kiss back.
Junhyung felt the response and started to kiss with more passion. He nudged open Yoseob’s mouth with his tongue and then touched the other boy’s tongue ever so lightly. Soon both tongues were tangled, and it was no longer clear where Yoseob ended and Junhyung started. They melted into each other, seeking solace in the other man’s warmth. As they broke for air, Yoseob barely had the chance to murmur “You taste so good,” before he felt Junhyung’s lips on his again. With his back still against the wall, he ran his right hand through Junhyung’s hair and let his left one rest on the elder’s back. This time, Junhyung pressed his lower body up against Yoseob and moaned as their hips gyrated into each other. Yoseob felt his body burn up. He reached under the older man’s shirt, but as soon as Junhyung felt their bare flesh make contact, he broke the kiss.
Taking a step back, Junhyung shook his head. “No, we can’t. What was I even doing? What was I thinking…”
“What were you doing? You were kissing me, hyung.” With that, Yoseob took a step closer and pulled Junhyung to him. As Yoseob initiated the kiss, it was much gentler. It felt just as good but Yoseob noticed that Junhyung’s lips now tasted salty. The sweetness was fading and Yoseob stopped to look up at Junhyung. “Junhyung, are you okay?” As soon as he said it, he noticed the way Junhyung’s eyes glistened and watched as tears began to fall. “What’s wrong? Tell me so I can help you.” His eyes were full of concern and he lifted his hand to stroke away the tears on the elder’s cheek.
“I… I don’t know. It’s just… just the stress and difficulty of it all.”
“I know. You’ve been doing a good job though.”
“When they told me to rewrite my rap, the whole damn thing, I got angry. I spent days on that thing and they hardly took one look at it. It made me so pissed off.”
“I know, I saw you working on it. It was amazing in my opinion.”
“Yeah, well…I’m just so fucking tired.” Junhyung sighed.
“I am too. But it’s all going to be okay isn’t it? We just have to tough it out now.” Yoseob wasn’t sure he even believed in what he was saying but that didn’t matter at this point. All he wanted, needed, was for his hyung to cheer up. He had seen it coming, if he said so himself. Everyone was so worn out that there was hardly any interaction any more. The atmosphere always seemed to be tense. Junhyung had always appeared to be one the most stressed out in Yoseob’s eyes.
“Okay…? It’s all going to be okay? Fuck, you don’t know if it’s going to be okay Yoseob. You can’t just say that so easily. Ugh, you don’t understand.”
“Why are you mad at me?” stuttered Yoseob in disbelief.
“I need to go. I still have work to do. Shit, look at the time.” Junhyung ran his hand throw his hair and threw Yoseob one last glance before disappearing out of the room.
“What the hell? What the freaking hell, Yong Junhyung.” Yoseob cursed under his breath as the front door slammed shut. Backing up, Yoseob felt his back thud against the wall and he let his legs sink to floor. He pulled his knees to his chest and looked up at the ceiling. “What is this, Junhyung? Could you tell me what we really are…?” The tears he had tried to hold back began to flow.
