The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger - really good, but not great as I had heard & been hoping for. Anna & I discussed some annoyances we had with it since we finished it around the same time.

Let me tell you this: When I have more time for reading, I'm just going to hit up your old LJ posts. I wish we lived closer so we could do some good literature geekery.

Of your current list, I've only read American Gods. I thought it was okay, and I've discovered (by also reading a Gaiman short story collection) that I love his comics and can pass by his fiction. It's been a while, and I wish I could critique it in more detail.

Have you read any China Mieville?

Please hit me up for book-talk. As much as I'm getting into my new job, I miss talking about books all day.

I haven't read any China but I'm totally going to. I'm really interested in reading some more urban fantasy (or whatever one would call him). Any suggestions as to what to start with first?

Perdido Street Station is probably a good start, even though The Scar is my very favorite (I have a soft-spot for maritime tales). We just bought Un Lun Dun (his young adult novel) which I've heard TONS of praise for, so Brandy and I will read that together soon.

Even though his adult novels are set in the same place, there's no need to read them in any order.
