it's funny the way i've been on WRVU lately more than i've been on WRFN. ugg, it just happens when i am with my friends and when i get home i am always too tired to spin anything.

guess what else...i am finally comfortable enough to once again declare my love for complete dorks who are totally into punk rock. i mean dorks about science or math ( Read more... )

honor vandy students who know a shit dork load about music and can go on and on about it
I guarantee you a random RIM major at MTSU knows more about music than all of those Vandy students combined. And they also know how to run a radio station. (They play three or four songs, actually tell you what they are, and clearly enunciate, all the PSAs and ads for other shows are recorded, not read by some loser who sounds like they're on qualudes, and they don't talk for forty minutes between sets.)

KILL BY DEATH records rule!
LOL 1997 just called! Seriously, those are old. I found a bunch of those in high school.

your so negitive sometimes and i don't understand why. this guy knows more about the type of music he likes than any person i have ever met from mtsu. he has the largest collection i have ever seen and in talking to him for a few minutes i learned more about music than from anyone i know. wrvu is a good station. so they don't enunciate all their PSAs but neither do all the WMTS radio guys. IT'S COLLEGE RADIO. THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS. THAT'S THE POINT.

and any KILL BY DEATH find rules. i found some stuff by the blockheads the other day and it made me happy. i'd love to listen to any of the kill by death stuff you've found; i'm sure its awesome. sorry i was in a good mood.

I don't see how hating Vandy students could possibly be a bad thing. Most of them are only there because of connections or their mommy and daddy's money anyway. And I live downtown, I have to deal with them on a day-to-day basis. They make Antony's job hell. I hate 'em.

You must not know a lot of MTSU students because people come from all over the United States to become Recording Industry majors there, so it follows that a lot of them are big time record geeks. Of course, you get people like that at Belmont too. Vandy however, doesn't really attract those types, being "Southern Ivy League" and all.

I used to work at Vanderbilt and I have more friends and acquaintances that work at MTSU than I do Vandy. Generalizing and universalizing like you are is wrong, ignorant, and unfare to the group being labeled. that's all i'm saying.
