Application: THEME: Early Beatles Songs
A NOTE TO VOTERS: This is a
beatle_stamp themed application! Please stamp as any song by the The Beatles from 1963-1965. This includes all the songs from
Please Please Me,
With The Beatles,
A Hard Day’s Night,
Beatles For Sale,
Help!, and
Rubber Soul, as well as any of their
singles from this time period.
01. Name: Serene
02. Age: 14
03. Which Beatle are you stamped as? Personality - Paul; Look-A-Like - George & John; Wife - Yoko; Album- White Album
04. What is your favorite album of this period (Please Please Me through Rubber Soul) and why? Rubber Soul, all the way! It's so creative and new, and it marked the beginning of one of their best writing periods. Everything just flowed together so well.
05. Do you prefer more John, Paul, George, or Ringo songs? John. His philosophical, thoughtful songs always strike a chord with me.
06. Describe your musical tastes (besides The Beatles): Anything from the 50s-70s. Off the top of my head, there's Bob Dylan, Cream, Pink Floyd, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Rolling Stones, Who, Genesis, Bad Company, David Bowie, Byrds, Kinks, Solo McCartney and Lennon, etc.
07. Do you prefer faster or slower songs? I like faster songs, but not too fast. I can enjoy a nice, slow, smooth song every once in a while.
08. What do you feel about covers? If an artist can do it well, I can listen to it all day (Stand By Me - John Lennon comes to mind).
09. Do you like music made for movies? Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. Just depends.
10. How does a great song make you feel? Oh man. It's like I've been shipped off to my own planet, and ecstasy just surges through my brain. It's like a spiritual high for me. I will die listening to music.
11. Why do you listen to music (i.e. to dance, listen to the meaning, etc.)? The meanings, and the vocals. I can't stand shallow songs that are all about me, myself, and I.
12. Name some characteristics of your favorite songs (i.e. sad, dancy, ballad, simple, experimental etc.): Unrequited love songs get to me the fastest. And those deep, deep, thoughtful songs.
13. What kind of messages are important to you? Things that have to do with perseverance and true love.
14. What are your feelings about love? If you really love the person your with, don't be stupid. Hold onto him/her.
15. Do you consider yourself an optimist or pessimist? Most of the time, I'm an optimist. But I fall into a low groove every now and again.
16. Romantic or Cynic? Frankly, a bit of both.
17. Progressive or Traditional? Progressive.
