04. What’s your favorite Beatles Album and why?: Do I seriously need to pick only one? Hmmm... can I pick two? Hehe, I absolutely adore Revolver and Magical Mystery Tour. Revolver just broke the mold of what rock albums were at the time. Lyrically, songs were leading away from just being about love and going into deeper themes and musically, there is so much experimentation. When I think of Revolver, I hear the backwards guitar solo from I'm Only Sleeping and the brass flourish of Got to Get You Into My Life, for example. Magical Mystery Tour is just so psychedelic and strange, which I LOVE <3. There are so many amazingly strange songs that I can’t help but love. I Am the Walrus is one of my all time favourite songs ever!
05. Least favorite Beatles album and why?: > It has to be a toss up between Beatles for Sale and Please Please Me. Beatles for Sale doesn’t have too many songs that I like, I mean, it’s not a bad album, it’s more that none of the songs are truly significant for me. Please Please Me I think because I can’t stand Love Me Do (The song goes nowhere. Seriously :/ ) and they hadn’t really gotten into their own sound that they become famous for in the future.
06. What the best way to listen to music (i.e. at an intimate little venue, a big stadium show, from speaker in your house, etc)? Either a really small, intimate venue where you really feel as though you are part of the show, or at home on vinyl, but I had to choose one, it’d be the intimate club.
07. I’d say Beatles music falls into the Pop-Rock genre. Are you into more of the pop or the rock? The rock, for sure. I’m more into their rock stuff at the ‘bookends’, let’s say, of their career, so Hamburg with their leather jackets and pompadour hair, but also their psych rock period onwards.
08. What is your favorite thing about the 60s? Social revolution, the emergence of such creative freedom, the naivety in comparison to today, the style, the fashion, the need to actually have talent in the arts to make it far, and of course the peace and love, baby <3
09. What part of the 60s could you do without? That it’s in the past now! But honestly, I could say the wars and the assassinations and whatnot, but without them, the 60s wouldn’t have been shaped in quite the same way as it's remembered now. I mean, without the wars, there may have not been the youth in rebellion that changed the course of our history. Oops, now I’m rambling :S
10. HYPOTHETICALLY if you were a drug user and abuser, what would be your drug of choice or are you totally straight? (Let’s keep this hypothetical, mmk) Pot’s an obvious one, but I’d also go the hallucinogens, such as mushrooms or LCD. Perhaps more ‘shrooms since they're a bit more natural than acid :/
11. How would you describe your personal style? A wonderfully weird mélange of things! I like hippy-ish clothing with embroidery and light fabrics, but I also like gothic tops, like corsets with velvet and black lace. I also love graphic T's and plaid flannel. I'm starting to get back into more summer dresses. I love jeans, but they have to be flared or better yet bell. I love to wear my hair down, but sometimes up in a clip to get it off my neck. I try to go natural when it comes to makeup (brown eyeliner, mascara, a bit of blush [I'm fairly pale :S]).
12. Are you clean cut or more rough around the edges? Depends on my mood really, but most of the time I’m fairly clean cut.
13. Do you get along well with groups? Depends on how well I know the group. The longer I know them the more comfortable I am and am more eager to take on a leadership role. I’d rather go at it alone if I don’t really know who I’m working with.
14. Are you more of a rebel or conformer? Rebel! If I don’t like something, I won’t go along with it just if others are doing the same.
15. More of a jokester or serious? More serious these days, but I’m a real jokester when with the right people.
16. How much do you let others dictate your life? Not as much as they did before. I’m finally breaking free of trying to live for other people and finally doing what I want now, rather than what is expected of me.
17. How often do you fight with your friends? Rarely if ever. I usually just let things go.
18. How creative are you? I think I’m pretty creative. My interests are artistic, like writing, playing music, and cosplaying, but I think outside the box for innovative ideas which I think is creative as well.
19. If you were a color, what you be and WHY? A deep shade of blue or red. Deep blue, for me, represents my serious, logical side, while deep red describes my passionate, seductive, and fun-loving side.
