"A source indicated late Tuesday that Seattle might have interest in sending slugger Richie Sexson to the Giants and reliever Rafael Soriano to the Braves. In return, the Mariners would receive a starting pitcher (Tim Hudson) and a first baseman (Adam LaRoche ( Read more... )

"A highly placed Seattle source said the club's interest in Zito was "strong; strong is a good word."

Zito's agent, Scott Boras, confirmed Seattle was one of the teams with which he is engaged in talks."

I would rather that happened, and I also think its more likely to happen. I am not in the school of thought that says sexson is not good to have around. I will take 30+ HR's and 100+ RBI's any year. Plus Zito is the man, and he would be awesome to have here.

you're a moron. we don't want barry zito. barry zito is going to cost like, 70 million over 6 years and quite frankly he's nowhere near good enough. Get past his hippy hype and the fact that three or four years ago he won a cy young and you realize what he really is. He's a pitcher with fly ball tendencies that doesn't strike enough people out to be a true ace. yeah safeco helps him, but no more than the colliseum has, and he hasn't been very good the lawst few years. Seriously matt, he's not that good. Tim Hudson will own him, and adam larouche would put up numbers at least as good as Sexson for alot cheaper ( ... )

heres something to try, when you are engaging in arguments on something, if you want them to respect your point of view dont call them a "moron" and say that they are from a "dumb school of thought".

you may not agree, and even if you are right, thats just not something i really appreciate. so yeah be nice.

oh and i have no idea what hippy hype is supposed to mean. i think zito is an excellent pitcher and he is young as well. I just dont think that trade is at all realistic. if the other team agrees to that, than they shouldnt be managing baseball teams.
