Hi, I'm new to this community...
(daughter drew the icon of me...yikes)

Any material relating to Brian Epstein, especially his voice and/or visage, would be appreciated more than you could know.

Also, now I'm wondering if there's a sharing community on LJ where I might be able to download comedy files, such as Tom Lehrer, Eddie Izzard, George ( Read more... )

Hey, welcome! I'm also very jealous of your attending the 1966 concert. You should put up a story of how it all went. I'd be very interested in reading it. =D

XD When I get a free moment, maybe I'll write up a story on it and include the couple of snapshots I took. However, my life has been crazy lately and I've neglected writing back to a few folks I shouldn't have ignored :(

You wouldn't be so jealous if you also had to be my age now! ...but I still feel 16 inside, totally. I think my emotional aging stopped short when I heard the radio news report on August 28, 1967 about Brian ;_;

One thing I can mention is that I spent nearly the entire concert searching for Brian with my friend's binoculars. The only other Beatle-related person I saw a lot of was Mal -- ♥ Mal!

p.s. Through the entire concert, there was a couple shagging way way up in the abandoned top seats of the enclosed stadium right under the roof. Yay binoculars.

It's SO strange to think how long since it all happened. I only just borned 6 years after John's death!!! That's crazy! It's just... dunno... crazy.
And my best friend's dad saw the beatles at Star Club in Hamburg in 1960 or something! Way too cool! I'm so jealous of you who lived your teenage back then. It was so much more worth living than 1990's and 2000's :(

Ah yes, as long as you were lucky enough to be born a white heterosexual christian.

I made the mistake of saying something like, "I wish it was the '60's again" in front of a black friend, and knew immediately by his sad smile and shake of his head what was wrong with that picture.

*sigh*
