1) Unlike many of the writers I've met so far, and still reeling from the horrible realization I've made yesterday, you are the only one I have met to keep the promise or standard to be well-read. In fact, you are THE most well-read person I have ever met.
2) Try to explain to me, in preferably monosyllabic words, what Gravity's Rainbow is about. If you haven't read it, read it. If you have but cannot tell me, go read Pynchon's new book. My uncle's pretty confused on this one, and he's among the most well-read people I know ( ... )
