I've gone to school for writing for four years and not once did anyone ever tell me that I shouldn't be French spacing.

if you've only bought three new articles of clothing in the past three years, what was all that about going to buy a shirt and winding up with more socks than you know what to do with? or was all of that in high school? or just a story?

I was taught to French space in elementary school and I still do it. fuck LJ and AIM for removing my extra spaces- I like them. especially after colons and semicolons.
