So, I should be doing homework, or reading more Ammianus Marcellinus or something, so of course I'm here. I'm back at school, and have been for several days. It hasn't been particularly eventful yet, but I'm okay with that

Sorry about the Greek. It does get harder after a long break. Summers are the worse. I felt like I was relearning my participles every time I came back, even after two years!
Ah, Greek! lol Yeah, it is hard, but with a little bit of studying, you'll start feeling like you never left it. :) And, I just have to say, you and Ellie amaze me--I don't know that I could study two languages at once. I think I'm going to have to do that soon, though--re-up my Greek, learn Hebrew, and perhaps even brush up on my German. And I may be learning French at some point, since that seems to be one of the main "theology" languages. Maybe I'll learn Latin at some point...ooh, and Arabic! And soon I'll know every language ever!!!! .... Or not so much. :)
When I was a kid I had a page long list of languages I wanted to learn. I've had three (Spanish, French and Greek) and only one of them really sticks when I'm not practicing. So, I wish you luck, and happy studying.
I've become a bit of a linguiphile since I first started taking German in high school. Actually, I think it really started when I was introduced to French in 7th grade, but I didn't really pick up anything until I decided to do German. I chose that one because I didn't want to be just like all the other kids, who took either French or Spanish, but I didn't want to have to learn a new alphabet with Russian or Japanese or Chinese. And then I found out that I *love* languages, and I love being able to translate (as Ellie says, "Translator trumps all!"). And I always want to know what the original of *anything* said. And, well, it's fun for me, geek that I am. :)
