Teaching University Classes

Well I submitted 2 classes to teach at university and they were both accepted.  I don't know what the process is for choosing, but I feel somewhat validated.  Especially because I was not real happy about one of the titles, but in retrospect it's fine and I was just being insecure ( Read more... )

I am so piqued that I have to teach right across from your garb class! But I've signed up for the illumination one.

I was going to take the panel painting one - we have a art project at home that it might be good for - but ended up signing up for dance instead. Because I can totally see myself just painting wood with regular craft paint and calling it good - this isn't an A&S project, really. (We want to do a panel for each "year in the life" in the style of the Bayeux Tapestry, and hang them around the top of the dining room. :) )

And hey, be secure! You got both your classes approved, so you're ahead of me! (My hunch is that they got a lot of performing arts stuff and Anglo-Saxon Performance was just too specific. :) )

Too Specific? what is this, Society for Generic Anacronism. I Huff in their general direction!

In all seriousness, Maybe they didn't want to have too much AS stuff at the same university. I am glad I got to have a one on one with you for the music documentation, freeing me up for other classes at that time slot. I think you have already seen my A-S garb presentation when I did it for A&S night a couple years ago. It was a Powerpoint pres.

Of course I will be updating a little bit, but that kind of info doesn't change too often. I am Psyched that you are in my Illumination class. It will be all hands on painting and I will bring supplies, including paint/palletes, Brushes, paper, and handouts (hopefully in color!).

I am pretty excited.
