Canon Source: Umineko no Naku Koro ni
Canon Format: Visual Novel/Anime [Beatrice will be taken from the Visual Novels however]
Character's Name: Beatrice
Character's Age: 1000+
What form will your character's NV take?
A cell phone similar to this adorned with a cute golden butterfly cell strap. =n=b

Character's Canon Abilities:

As the Endless Witch, Beatrice holds the power of Endless magic. That is to say, she can destroy something an infinite amount of times and restore it to its previous state. This applies to life and death, which have virtually lost their impact on her since she has the power to kill and resurrect a person as many times as she sees fit or desires. She is also able to summon demons from Hell and other supernatural servants.

One of Beatrice’s abilities is to change her form into that of one or more golden butterflies. This is her weakest form, and the one she will have to take until at least one person acknowledges her as a witch. For characters that exist on her plane of existence (aka canonmates) she’d be able to show her true form and harass them to no end. Thus, while her magical abilities would be severely limited in regards to other characters (certainly no summoning of demons from Hell and killing/resurrecting may be a bit more tasking), she would have much more power in regards to Battler or people who truly acknowledge her as a witch. (This is because unlike Voyagers, who are witches that can exist on multiple planes and move from one to another as they see fit, Beatrice can only truly affect the reality she exists or existed in.)

She also wields the power of Red Truth, where a truth is proven by having it stated in red. If it is not a truth and she (or anyone) attempts to speak it, she would begin to choke in doing so. However, a truth does not have to be absolute. For instance, she could say "Battler is not in this city." as long as she were referring to a different Battler and nobody had asked about Battler Ushiromiya specifically.

Lastly she is able to transmute things into gold, (aw yeah bitches who's rich now?) and gained the title of Golden Witch for doing so. Of course, she’s also able to conjure up items at will to a degree such as food and whatnot - typical low end magic stuff.

Character History:

Beatrice's history before the Rokkenjima incident is pretty much unknown. In fact, there is barely any knowledge of her childhood aside from a brief flash back to her when she was a human child. In this flash back she was seen as a rick girl, probably from a noble, wealthy family. This is when she first learned magic from her teacher, now called Virgilia. At the time, Virgilia was called Beatrice. Thus, it is important to note that Beatrice is a title in itself, rather than Beatrice's name. Her real name is lost forever it seems, and whether or not Beatrice remembers her real name is unknown.

Since each game is horribly TL;DR in length, enjoy a wiki summary!

Point in Canon: At the end of the 4th game, when Beatrice has been killed and has finished giving Battler her final riddle to solve.

Character Personality:

Beatrice is more like the golden butterflies she models her form after than one would think. On the surface both are beautiful and alluring, but the truth of the matter is that no matter how pretty they look, butterflies are still insects. Beatrice is no different. That is to say, despite her beauty and valour as a witch, to an extent she’s pretty disgusting inside.

While she certainly doesn’t lack a spine, Beatrice is childish and fickle. Ridiculously so. Manipulative and cunning, everything she does is for her own gains and amusement. To a witch there is nothing worse than boredom, and after being alive for a thousand years it’s no surprise that one can grow easily bored. She is certainly not above using human lives as her play toys, and she shows no mercy when torturing the unlucky souls to fall under her power.

Unnecessary cruelty is Beatrice’s specialty as she’s revered as the cruelest of witches among her kind. She’s not above doing unspeakable things to the corpses of her victims - smashing half their face in or cutting their bellies open and stuffing the cavity with candy. She does it merely to get an interesting, entertaining reaction out of those who will find said bodies. To Beatrice, everything is a game. It is because of this childish, ignorant mindset of the one blessed with the gift of Eternal Magic that Beatrice has lost any concept of the value one would normally attach to a human life. She cannot comprehend why people would be upset when she kills their loved ones when she can just bring them back. Death and Life mean nothing to one who is Endless.

Of course, she can be equally sweet as she is cruel. Kindness is not something that’s lost to Beatrice. In fact, she’s more than happy to grant the wishes of unfortunate souls - so long as they pay her an adequate fee in return. She’ll also be kind if it works to her advantage. No matter what she does it’s always for herself.

If there’s one thing that Beatrice hates above all else it is being denied. Having her existence denied is the greatest insult that can be made toward her and if one is so bold not to accept her, she will do everything in her power to make sure that person will, no matter how long it takes, accept her.

On the flip side, however, there is more to Beatrice than her cruel golden surface. While it is true that she cares little for Life or Death, this applies to herself as well. Whether she wins or loses doesn’t seem to hold as much relevance as the moment itself. Trapped in a game between two Voyager witches, just as Beatrice makes toys out of the humans trapped on Rokkenjima Island, she too is just a playing piece on the chessboard she created to face off against Battler. Knowing this and knowing for certain that she will indeed lose eventually, she herself doesn’t care that losing would mean her death. In fact, it’d be release from the endless, boring cage she’s been trapped in for centuries.

In this sense Beatrice is not only sad, but she is desperate. While Battler constantly denies her existence - not only as a witch but as a being as well - she does everything she possibly can to make him see her. She can’t exist as a “true” witch until he accepts her. When it comes to her relationship with Battler it’s complicated. At times it appears as if she regards him more than just an opponent in their game, and there are other times in which she seems to absolutely loath him, gaining much glee in torturing him endlessly. Regardless of what she feels deep down, which is perhaps a twisted form of love for Battler, it is undeniable that she begs him at the end of episode four to kill her. Only he has the power to destroy her or grant her the power to exist entirely.

Although she appears calm and collected on the surface, Beatrice is also quite emotional and loses her composure very easily when someone will not submit to her will or outright ignores her. After all, it’s just outright rude. When things don’t go her way or as planned, she throws a fit like a spoiled child.

She also has an affinity for sweets. When offered sweets by Shannon she begins to ramble on about how she’s never received a gift before. She also tends to be seen describing and comparing things to various sweets.

Character Plans:

Plans for Beatrice? Well she’s certainly happy to be out of the game she was caged in and oh look! The city is like nothing she’s ever seen before~! It certainly looks and seems quite interesting. Expect major trolling on Beatrice’s part, maybe some bounty hunting not because she needs money, but just for the hell of it and of course, she’ll be trying to make all sorts of friends. She’ll want to be pampered and revered and worshiped. Looks like Light’s going to have some competition.

She’ll also be looking for Battler and when she does find him, she’ll be happy and back to her cunning, playful trickster ways. She’d also probably try and get into one of the companies just to screw around with the higher ups. TL;DR she’s got a lot of things to do.

Appearance/PB:

She basically wears this giant poofy dress like this. But you may see her in her more casual outfit.
