Warnings: bawful reunion?
She was back at home, in the village. With a careful tug of her hair, it was up and out of her face (for the most part), and she stepped outside of her house. There was a deep breath, and she looked around her to see the faces of the other villagers.
“Sheena?”
Her heart skipped a beat. That voice - was it really?
A look down gave her the answer. It was…it was
Corrine. Happy tears already were springing to her eyes as she picked up the summon spirit and brought him close.
“Sheena, you did it. Just like I knew you would.” Corrine whispered, pressing his nose up against Sheena’s cheek. “Don’t cry…”
“What? I’m not-“ A quick touch to her own face made her realize that she, in fact, was crying. It wasn’t like she could help it - she had missed him so much, even though it hadn’t been so long since he had died. Corrine had been one of her closest friends, and the fact that he had left had left her with a hole in her heart.
“I’m here now. I always have been…so please don’t cry.”
“…Right.” Sheena shifted Corrine a little, and wiped her eyes. “I’ve just…missed you.”
“I missed you too, Sheena.”
[The vision ends, and Sheena realizes she…really has been crying.] Corrine…
[Quietly, she just turns the Dreamberry off.]
