[Action-ish post] Bern's way to show love.

Feb 13, 2010 09:08

At the morning of the 14th, a letter can be found pushed under the door of 1449 Mitchell road. The letter is odd in so far as that there's a bulge, someone has put something else in, not just paper

On the envelope, in careful, pretty handwriting, is this:

For my dear Lambdadelta,
Since you enjoy riddles and games, I have prepared a two-layered one for you. Have fun, my little would-be captor, as I will, for your failure will be oh so sweet.
~TT

TT seems to be the signature, though, like all signatures, it's a bit illegible. The handwriting is clearly Bernkastel's.

Inside the envelope is a single piece of paper, covered in the same handwriting, although the paper is stained by thirty-four reddish brown drops that resemble dried blood, and the writing seems to have been done in a hurry, with little care for order.

Also in the letter, wrapped in foil, is what has caused the bulge - a strange, long thing covered in chocolate sprinkled with white flakes, that turns out to be an actual sawed-off female finger. And the sprinkles? Someone salted the chocolate quite a lot with those big salty flakes, to the point of it being completely inedible. Not that the blood hasn't already spoiled it or anything...

The paper reads:

"It is said that if you give a finger,
now the entire hand will follow.

Many have sought the treasure, yet
all who sought have perished.
Death is a present, much sweeter
if covered in chocolate.
But make haste, for if time is up,
all will have been spoiled rotten.

Round your name, times mines.
Or was that two-timing?
Ah, yes, so carve it by yours.
Die the death, one each for σλΔ."

Below that is the only line on the letter that isn't written in haste, it's written very prettily, with highly stylized letters, although the ink has a different color:
"If you can't do it, why don't you beg for help, or hide in a cupboard and cry!"
This line is clearly written with blood.

[Just some Lambda teasing. Don't mind me. And, yeah. Bern spent most of the 12th and 13th discovering that, if you cut off a finger and kill yourself, the hacked off finger regrows, disappearing from where you stored it, so sadly she had to hack off another after she revived. Stupid town!
As for Bern, she's nowhere to be found. Could it be that she is the treasure to be found?]
