[Bernkastel is out there in the town, walking through every street, and taking a look at the houses from outside, as well as experimenting a bit with the "border" of the town by seeing where exactly the loop happens

[If she passes by Brady Lane, she'll find Saber practicing her swordplay in the front yard using a lead pipe in her left hand. If Bernkastel is extremely perceptive, she might notice Saber's right hand looks distinctly like it's gripping something...but nothing's there. Every once in a while it seems she even uses that arm to strike.]
[Yes, extremely perceptive is something that goes for most of the witches in Umineko. And swordplay does make her curious, either way - although the swordplay in her canon is...slightly odd.
Thus, after passing by Brady Lane, and after noticing a woman practicing moves that look quite a bit like swordplay - Not shabby swordplay, either...
She watches for a while, just standing there, noticing the empty hand as well. Then, finally, once she notices Saber taking some sort of break, even momentarily, she speaks up after giving her tow polite claps.]
That is interesting swordplay. Quite unusual for this time period, too.
My name is Bernkastel. Pleased to meet you as well.

[On one of the sidewalks, well... Bowser's holding an upside-down drone by the leg and shaking him and maybe bouncing his head off the pavement every now and then. A little money falls out every now and then.]
[Neither of them notice you, though the dazed drone IS going "bad dog!" under his breath.]
Now that is quite a huge "dog". Not complacent with your fate in this place, I see?
[She doesn't seem particularly afraid, mostly because she is familiar with demons, and Bowser seems to roughly fit that category, although he's more like a lizard]

[She looks at her for longer than a moment.]

[Saber plants her lead pipe in the ground, using it as a cane to lean on. She's worked herself pretty hard.]

I suppose you do not look like you want to be what this place wants you to be. So you are different from many of the others.
