mike, i'm glad to see you back on the livejournal circuit. sorry it took me so long to respond, i've been away from this for about twenty-four hours now. scary, i know. but in response to what you said, i think you're absolutely right: there is truly a lack of concreteness in my life here in columbus. but then again i don't feel like i'm treading water to survive. i wish you didn't have to work so much, it saddens me. i am aware of both of these jewish songs. they are beautiful. we should hang out sometime this week. love and peace, joel louis badanes

I hear ya Sometimes I tell myself "If I died the pain would be over" and I don't mean that in a self-destructive way. What I mean is that if it were death, that would be it, everything else is just temporary no matter how bad it seems.
