film is like the beautiful unknown to me. there is a course in west van called "film studies" but i have no space for it since they don't allow for spares in IB. lame, isn't it?
mmhmm, my grade 11 year is going to be much different, no doubt. am trying not to let it scare me.
One of the best dentistry departments in the US. It's been there since 1929. I'm planning on taking 4 years of sciences at UBC first, but that's a maybe. I might just take everything in Illinois. It takes a while, though. I need to take my PASS in Ontario, and if I'm accepted, my interview will take place in Chicago.
Wow. You guys are offered so much in West Van. I'd love to take film studies if it were a course at Argyle. I have this fascination with Stanley Kubrick. The late director of the brilliant satire, "A Clockwork Orange." Or perhaps you're more familiar with "Shining" starring Jack Nicholson? Both dark, twisted movies - I have to admit.
*sigh* the pressure is on.... wow i'm impressed.. you are taking all sciences. i won't be able to handle it film making.....hmm i would like to try that someday but not right now ..lol my creative side hasn't bloomed ?! yet. lol i'm aiming for UCLA! CALIFORNIA HERE I COME
The pressure has been on me for a long, long time now. I have a lot of work to do this year, but I can handle it. Spanish is going to bite me in the ass, though.
Film making is splendid. I think you just have to open your mind to something that fascinates you, and go forward from that. Haha. Bleh. "They say, California is a recipe for a black hole." Sorry. It's a lyric. I had to.
sylvs, you have your own vcr. you should've started already. i am jealous. i have nothing to work with unless i am aiming for a 3 minute study with the digital camera...
are your parents paying your way? if not how will you guys afford to attend american universities? it's very, very expensive if you are not a citizen - triple or quadriple the tuition of canadian universities. i don't know... i have to start saving up but i've got to start with canada.
Yeah, I've already looked into the tuition as an international student. It costs a fortune. If things don't work out on my first year, I can always attend U of I once I'm done my four years of B.Science at UBC. My parents plan on paying, as well as my grandparents. However, I'll probably end up paying for an apartment / dorm. Then again, I always have U of SF as an option, since my grandparents live there. I wouldn't have to pay for a dorm or an apartment, I could just live with them! Plus, SF is gorgeous.
yes i also have been a bit obsessed with film making, ive been watching a bunch of documentaries on famous directors, i kinda wanna be a screen play writer spanish will be "fun", hopefully we have fun people in the class
