We suddenly seem to have five computers crowding us out of our apartment. Most of them are too old to be of any real use to me, but Andrew wants to keep them around so he has the extra hard drive space. And he doesn't understand why I want to get an external hard drive. *insert eye roll here

Given your interests, a Macbook Pro would be better. The main (only important, really) difference between the Macbook and Macbook Pro is the Macbook Pro can have a decent vid card.

Or maybe you shouldn't since you're so incredibly in debt, getting a Mac of any sort is not the wisest thing to do financially right now. And I do understand why you want to get an external hard drive*rolls eyes at you* I just don't understand why you NEED it so soon when you've got much more important things to use your money on...you know...say our rent or insurance for the car cause you can't drive that thing forever without insurance.
