Alright. I am tired of the community being dead.

I say we have weekly debates. Discussions. Arguments. Anything!

I'll take a leaflet out of intellect_ and ask, what is your opinion on the use of stem cell research.

C'mon! Lets bring this community back to life!!

I'm really tired and braindead, but I wanted to respond anyway, so here is my reponse from intellect on Stem Cell Research, and the related topic, Cloning, I think they need to be addressed simeultaneously in many cases:

Stem Cell Research. I am very aware of the benefits that the advancement of science holds for human beings, which is why I support stem cell research. Stem Cell cloning for therapeutic reasons, to research cancer & HIV/AIDS cures, to research bone growth and organ transplants, doesn’t have the hold the kind of hubris that reproductive cloning has, in assuming we can successfully circumvent mother-nature. Stem Cell research is done for the benefit of the majority, rather than the benefit of a specific person. And while adult stem cell research has proven to be a viable alternative, I support stem cell research on fetuses for this reason: the sacrifice of one person for the benefit of many, while difficult, is something that most societies seem to uphold. it could have helped chris reeve(rip) and it can help mj fox(back to the future 4 anyone) so i am for it.

but seriosly, i am not religous so i feel stem cell research is to save lives not take them.

What about arguments that Stem Cell Research may lead do an unethical use of embryos or even human beings. Should we create embryos simply to be used for research of for financial gain? Do we really have the right (or should we) to control the process of human life like that?
