Ok, so my car got broken into...sometime between last night 9:30pm and today 4pm... they pryed my window open enough to unlock the door... well I'm thankful that a window wasn't completely busted b/c that costs more. They stole my radio and the face plate to it b/c I used to keep it in the glove compartment. I'm soo pissed off b/c I am so good at ( Read more... )

yes. i should've known better. such as, lock the glove compartment, or not even leave it in there.
They almost emptied out the compartment, and didn't take the remote control for the radio either- which surprised me. whatever... hopefully it'll be covered by insurance, and get fixed. when my brother looked at it, he said they really f*ed up the wires- like they had a dull knife or something b/c it was all messed up. However, they were nice enough to push the wires back into the space so they weren't hanging out like car guts or something.
ugh.
:-P

that really sucks - when i lived on the west side, marc's cd player was stolen and we found it down the alley becuase they couldn't find the face for it, but they just ripped it out of the dash and broke the window, that's why i started leaving my car unlocked. I know it sounds absolutely stupid - but we've had a cd player for a couple of years and nothing has been stolen. I would rather them be able to get in and take what they feel they just HAVE to have than break my windows while doing it...

this'll be the third time getting my car broken into- but this time the window wasn't broken/smashed. The other two times the windows were busted.... soyea, maybe I should just leave them unlocked. ha. however, you don't live in ghetto anymore- soyou can do that. :-)

oh yea, it's definately a plus, as far as being back home, but I started that in 2002 when i was living in columbus - what did it was our neighbor's car windows got smashed, and mine didn't, because i forgot to lock my door.

The risk has definately lowered though, recently. :o)
