Minako was lucky enough to not have any Monday classes, which meant she usually spent the day sleeping in and playing video games before hitting the showers and going about her day. Which, of course, she'd done all that today, and then gone for a down to the gym to run laps and then hit a volleyball around for a bit in the hopes it would help burn

Steal Minako's transformation pen.
She didn't know how he knew that Minako was Sailor V. By this point, the 'how' wasn't worth asking. The 'why' was--why he wanted her pen and why he'd wanted Kathy to be the one to fetch it--but Kathy knew better than to question him. Men like him didn't take to being questioned well. And if there was one thing Kathy was used to doing, it was acceding to the demands of authoritarian men.
It had been easy enough to put off the theft last night. Odds were good that Minako would have been in her room or out patrolling in Baltimore (how long has it been since she patrolled?), and going for the transformation pen then would have been stupid. Instead, Kathy had wrapped the glass in silk and gone to bed holding it. Sleep had been fitful and thin; Kathy was afraid of breaking it ( ... )
