BIM website

Well guys, I'm working on a website for the community. It's not the best it could be (or even close) but it's alright for now. I mostly made if for the members list because it was taking up far too much room on the info page (and yes, I realize it's oh-so-not up to date, and I'm working on that). Please feel free to check it out. Hopefully ( Read more... )

I don't know how we could deal with this, but the only problem in this community is lack of participation. This has just been brought up in that one application, and I've been thinking about it. Every time I've made a post, I get like the same two or three people commenting every time (if I get comments at all). This lack of a response sort of turned me off, and that's my excuse for not being as involved recently. I know we can't make the members comment on shit, vote, or make posts, but if we could, this community would be that much more awesome. This is just a thought. It's definitely not your fault that people suck at participation.

For the most part, it's the same few people that have been posting since a year ago when I started this community. But, since I can't get people to participate, I have no real interest in doing much work around here either, which sucks, but that's what happens. I'm not sure how to get people participating. Usually a good fight helps, but I try to avoid those.

What's funny to me is that this is practically a very low key Dream Theater community for me now, excepting applications. It seems like the only people who care about talking are the Dream Theater people. Excelent for our DT lovers, myself very much included, but shitty that no one else will participate. I've tried to make up contests in the past and nothing worked. If you can come up with something good, I would be glad to take some suggestions.

If you want, I can give you space on my domain, so there would be no pop ups..

That would be much appriciated. I pretty much just did what I did because I wanted something quick, fairly easy, and cheap, but if you have a better solution, I would be very willing to take it!
