Question really is. Did they do it for a reason? Or just for shits and giggles.

If we think that maybe, just maybe they did it for a reason, perhaps because they knew that the UK video would not have been as well received in the US... But why? What about gogo dancers is there that this country hasnt seen before? I mean, if they were worried about not getting any air time, then I think they should take a step back and look at some of the rap videos that are played these days.

Now. On the other hand. Maybe they just did it because they could. Maybe they wanted to offer a video to each society that would appeal to the people more. Or maybe they just said "Hey guys, you know what would be funny? Give them two different videos. That'll really confuse them. And then people will go on livejournal and ask about it. It'll be great."

[shrugs] I suppose we'll never know.

PS.
Was that reply coherent?

very. The thing is, I'm pretty sure they're serious. And the question was why. Because I don't really understand it either.
I don't think it's the nudity, I think it has more to do with the 'expected style'

perhaps, it's very doubtful that it's the nudity. because in america? face it. sex sells. but perhaps, yes, with the expected style theory. But I cant really say much, considering the fact that I have yet to see the UK video. meep.

Now. In regards to the pictures...

I have NOT seen the US version, obviously. I have seen the one that you posted for the UK. Are you postitive that it's a "UK and US" version. And not just two versions of the same video? Cause that happens a lot. They make two videos for one song. I've seen the first one, that's supposed to be the "UK" version, and I dont live in the UK. I live in the US...

So. Now I'm a little... confused.

hmm. no, with this video I'm not 100% certain, just relying on the net.
But the Natasha one was on Billboard Chart express. Nevermind.

Hmmzr...only ever seen the UK version...its abit the same with movie-names. Sometimes they´re different in America, UK and Australia, even if the entire movie is the same. Harry Potter´s have been "translated" into American English. I guess it´s because of the way people understand things differently. After all, american english and british english are two languages seperated by the Atlantic Ocean.

I saw an interview sometime of The Killers and they said they weren´t recieved so well in the US as they were in the UK, so maybe they´re just trying to suite both audiences.

Yeah, sometimes the movies even have different titles (in the same language), different between North America, Europe and Australia.

It's odd.

That's funny. I've never seen the US version, only the UK one, on Canadian TV.
