Hey people.  If you have friended my journal without asking, PLEASE REMOVE ME FROM YOUR FRIENDS LIST.  It is considered rude in LJ land to friend without asking, and I have quite a few on my list that have apparently done so recently.  I can guarantee you will NOT see anything this way.  If you want to friend me, please ASK!

I have friended others w/o asking and been friended w/o being asked. I don't see the harm in it, personally. For the most part, I do usually give a heads up to the person. Let them know someone new is reading their public posts. Sometimes I get distracted and forget. I've never seen it as a no-no.

It's just sort of generally known as a social etiquette on LJ. Recently there have been a lot of people suddenly popping up on my user page that I don't recognize, and I'm a pretty private person.
