So. here i am yet again in the same situation. Im begining to think either my expectations are too high or something. so my my bf is an asshole. yes i managed to find another one. He can never be serious. he's always being sarcastic which pisses me off

consistency in a relationship is important but if the consistent pattern is unagreeable it takes time and effort to change them. If you feel there is no effort being made on his behalf, this is the first thing that must change. If it does not then I would say that the relationship has already come to an end.

In these circumstances when one member of the relationship does not want to change anything, it is because they are comfortable with the patterns that are already in place. You must make him understand that you are not comfortable with these patterns and perhaps make it clear that unresolved, you feel that it may lead to upsetting the present state of things. Again, if this does not lead to change, the relationship is already over.

Do give it time though, these things take a lot of nurturing. Understand also that you only have as much effort and time as you personaly are willing to give. There is no "didn't try hard enough or long enough" in these circumstances.
