One state, two state; red state, blue state. But Ohio is plaid.

Okay, as someone who voted for Badnarik for president, who supports Bush's tax cuts and gay marriage, who is pro-choice and anti-gun control, I feel like I have the right to say this to all of you.

THE WORLD IS NOT ENDING.Honestly, if I'd HAD to vote for one of the two, gun to my head, I probably would have gone for Bush, but JUST barely. Trust ( Read more... )

Preach it sister!

I agree wholeheartedly. A person's opinions shouldn't create an image of them. Whomever they vote for doesn't mean jack towards them as a person.

Now attacks upon someone who doesn't agree is something completely different.

I'm going to jump on the bandwagon and say "THANK YOU" and "AMEN" to this one.

I'm tired of people cornering me and demanding to know who I voted for -- customers at WORK no less! And if I tell them, half of them agree with me and start dogging the other candidate, and the other half mutter something along the lines of, "WHat the hell is wrong with you?" Is it any of their business anyway?

I'm just tired of the whole thing. All of it. I want it to be over and done with. And I want people out of everyone's faces. And I want all the snapping and insulting over with. I'm tired of hearing it and it makes me want to become a hermit.

If I were a member of metaquotes, I'd totally metaquote your subject line.

A system where the government has any control over the media is not a system that works. Most Americans voted for Bush because they were misinformed or underinformed, not stupid.

How in the hell can you presume that? How arrogant do you have to be to presume that just because someone disagreed with you, they must not have had all the facts? Like I said, I know PLENTY of uninformed and blind Kerry voters who just know "Bush loves war and oil and hates gay people and poor people and black people so we need to get him out!!!" There's misinformation on BOTH sides, but sadly, the right to cast an ignorant vote is one all Americans have.

It's not a presumption. The FACTS back up that this administration has routinely rewarded media outlets that are friendly to it and punished those that report negative truths. Case in point: CBS recently ran a negative story about Bush. ONE DAY LATER the FCC fined them half a million dollars for something Janet Jackson and that blond kid did in January. Afterwards CBS promised to run less negative news about the president. Mission accomplished.

Any time the government uses its muscle to bully the press they are that much closer to fascism. I don't particularly want to live in a fascist state where the people in power abuse their position to keep themselves in power. Bush supporters are either A. unaware that this is happening or B. support it. Either way they can go fuck themselves because America is supposed to be free and they are voting against freedom, period.

That's how I view this election. I view it as an attack on everything I believe in, I believe it seriously could bring about WWIII, or at least a string of smaller wars and terrorists attacks. The enviornment getting raped to the point of no return is death. If you have a problem with me thinking this way, I suggest you drop me now. I'm not going to rant on and on about this, but please stop telling me how to act or feel right now.
