My aunt got me one of the star filters for christmas last year (if you mean the on that makes lights look like stars hehe) and the first thing i did was take a picture of her christmas tree in black and white...it looked amazing..coolest filter i own, you won't be disappointed

yeah, i have an eight point star filter, as well as a parallel filter [does the same thing but.. softer] and a vari-cross [also the same thing, but you can manipulate it even more].fun times.

this is stupid. i don't know why im suggesting this.
stand in one place in the center of a room. take a picture looking straight ahead at the wall. rotate your body by moving your feet like two inches. take another picture. continue until a full 360degree turn is finished. develope pictures and tape them in a vertical line across a really long wall so they're all next to each other in order or rotation. you will then have a flat room and lots of wasted film. :D
