Philosophical question...
Would the Fantastic Four's Invisible Girl be powerless in pitch black darkness?
Granted I'm not read up on the comic, and I've only seen a few of the cartoons, so I'm basing this on the movie (insert your shock and horror here). Its seems, however, that for most of her power she is manipulating light.

The comics never really bothered to explain her invisibility/force-effects as much as the movie did. I'll refrain from embarassing myself with a scientific debate and just cast my opinion that turning invisible in the dark would be really silly, but her force-walls and the like should still work just fine an generally any environment. The comics always portay these as a psychokinetic effect.
Amusing though though.
