Wow, that's FAST. Both times I ran I was more like 2 and a half hours. I'm guessing the best way to run a marathon is just to slow down a lot and really take your time. I guess I kinda did that for the halfs too, hmm, maybe I shouldn't.

And both times I totally got like 4 hours of sleep, so you're not alone. :p

Not as fast as other people, though!! The first girl came in at 1 hr and 16..good Lord, I'd kill for that time.

I think if we get decent sleep the night before, it would totally help out a lot. Are you doing a half anytime in the future?

That's even more holy crap fast. Possibly even Olympic-fast? Wow.

I'm doing the San Dieguito Half Marathon in February. I did it last year and I'd highly recommend it (especially compared to say, the La Jolla Half Marathon.) It starts and ends at the same place, there's plenty of parking right next to the start, and the whole course is pretty flat and on more country-ish roads. It's very pretty as well. (And it's cheap too, especially if you sign up early.)

cool, thanks for the tip! I just may sign up for that one..I've decided not to do the LA Marathon yet. Physically, it's probably possible, but I'm not mentally and psychologically ready to do a full-one yet. I'd like to do 2 more half-marys to gain that confidence, and this one seems perfect. *I LOVE FLAT RUNS*

What's your training plan for it?
