Saw "Order of the Phoenix" last weekend, re-reading "Half-Blood Prince" as we speak... should have it finished in time to start "Deathly Hallows" when it arrives...

Did you like the movie? I liked what little bit of the book they covered. Umbridge was the perfect cunt. Not nearly enough Snape for my liking, though.

Yeah, liked the movie very much. It was very dark, though... but then about this time in the books the books got dark too. I'm wondering just how kid-friendly the last two movies can possibly be.

Of course that means no squealing crotch fruit inflicting themselves on my oxygen, if the movies get a PG-13 rating, or higher.

Umbridge was absolutely perfect, and the girl who did Luna Lovegood was spot on. You're right, not enough Snape, but then he didn't really figure much into OOTP. HBP, though, we should see a lot of him and his tight-lipped mutterings...

Almost finished with HBP, and then I'll be ready for the new one!!

Honey, I hate to tell you this, but people bring their crotchfruit to LOTS of movies that are totally inappropriate. I saw children under 10 when I went to see the South Park Movie. I'm letting The Boy watch the first three movies, and maybe #4... he's 8 and just getting into HP.

I'm about ready to only go to LJ and ONLY watch my friends, no groups, and televisionwithoutpity.com is always safe, until I finish the book on Saturday. That's it. I'm even having my homepage be blank for the time being. Even on Headline News while I was in the Japanese place getting lunch today ad they starte talking about a big internet spoiler for the book and I actually started humming so I didn't have to hear anything - people looked at me weird.

My son came in last night and said he'd read about some big spoiler on the internet and I stopped him right there and told him DON'T TELL ME. He said "I was just saying that there IS one out there..." and I said I knew but I didn't want to know what it was. Told him if he said anything else about it I'd stick my fingers in my ears and start going LALALALALALALALA...

Yeah, I'm odd.

I'm with you. I have a meeting on Monday morning, and have DEFIED anyone to tell me anything about the book unless I'm finished with it!

We're gonna hit Costco Saturday morning ... on the way to a big church picnic/BBQ, after which I then have to leave early to my gig at the Whitecaps game. When I get home at 7 or 8 pm, I will then start reading ... which, of course, means I'll be up all night, comatose during church Sunday morning, then (if I haven't finished it already) finish it after church.

I don't expect to be particularly productive Monday morning. Especially 'cause the kids will want me to start reading it out loud to them, so there's a very good chance my voice will be toast by Tuesday....
