Don't worry too much about the approaching end, it's going to be AWESOME! My Arts & Entertainment editor says we'll hand the keys to the cockroaches in 2012. I watch the clock in earnest.

It wasn't so much to me the end of the world, as I remember the poster with the twin towers and all, and thinking about how this is the thing that is changing things. No more golden times of the 90's - now we see the shit hit the fan, and what do we have to show for it? Bush, a war on "terror", and very little kind to speak of.

It seemed like a commentary on the violence in todays society. I don't believe that there is anymore violence today than there was 200 years ago, we're just very aware of it. The violence is just a long fuse that has been burning for a while. Now that there are more people on the planet, we've invented weapons that deal with more people. Human beings are so creative whn it comes to inventing ways of killing each other. Ciao - Scott

A friend of mine said, "You know, there has never been a war that hasn't led to another war." It disturbed me.
"What about Ghandi?" I asked, thinking myself clever. "Wasn't his movement started because of a war? Didn't that war end without another war following?"
