Because of the movie Australia, I now know how to spell the name of the continent/country since I see it absolutely everywhere. Somewhat embarrassing was when, every time I saw it, I would pronounce it "Austral-lia" in my head. Luckily, it was only in my head - I caught myself every time and corrected it

Oh god, I have a simmilar problem with one of my roomates. Except it's her desk light. It's really fucking bright and she points in into the room instead of at her desk. And instead of depression, she feels oppressed because she's a black girl in a mainly white school. She thinks we [her roomates] are being racist towards her when we have done nothing but try and make her feel welcome since day one. She called one of them a white bitch one day. She was planning on moving to a different room but for some reason she isn't now. :/

Our schools vegetarian options basically consist of zucchini. Seriously, everything labeled 'vegetarian' has zucchini in it. Although there is also a non-meat soup and pasta and pizza everyday. But it's still not very much and I feel bad for my vegetarian friends.

Whoa - about an hour after you posted this comment I read it and told myself I'd comment later... whooops! Heh, sorry :]

Um, yeah, roommates suck. I'm half dreading having to go back but, hey... a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

Anyway, I keep meaning to tell you, but I never got your mail! I got the junk mail, of course, but no super special, awesome letter :/ Did you ever get a return mail or something? Oh, either way, my address changed a little bit when I changed rooms. Remind me to email it to you sometime (probably not wise to post it on my public journal).
