I'm Reminded that Facebook Does Not Care about the Contents of My Consciousness

LJ doesn't care, either, but it will let me ramble on a bit about it.  I guess that means I should start tidying my brain-space by sorting threads of thought here.

Facebook lured us when it was fun. It isn't fun at all anymore.

Yeah, what happened to Facebook? Did I get bored of all those people I friended, or do they post less interesting parts of their lives? I enjoyed the short videos at first, until FB started funneling me into nothing but more and more of what their algorithm "thought" I would like.
It's be disingenuous of me to pretend that Facebook was ever "brain-food," because the first thing I noticed was no one would read anything beyond a paragraph, and there was little discussion or debate.
