I can't believe the black frosting is so ... black! Did you have to use a ton of food coloring?

I actually found black food coloring, so that helped. I thought I was going to have to mix my own black from the primaries. The recipe called for the whole bottle, and I used about half the bottle, but I think I didn't even need to use all of that. The total amount of frosting used was about 2 cups. Which obviously was not quite enough.
