[Will dropped the communicator back on the bed, satisfied for now that he'd made his point clear. He'd realize later that he probably should have bothered trying to filter it, but right now, he was high as a kite, and everything still hurt. Rachel might have killed him instantly, but the death toll was making him wish he'd just stayed dead. His head, neck and chest ached, and all he really just wanted to curl up in a ball and go back to sleep. Or go home. That would be nice, too.
Kirjava was curled up on the bed next to him, the daemon having reappeared when he revived in the infirmary, and the cat looked equally miserable, head on her paws and staying cuddled close to her human, not saying anything or bothering to watch the goings on in the infirmary as she usually would.]
