Potty training suck! I am going crazy with this potty training business. She refuses to go on the potty. I put her on the potty and she will sit there for hours and not go. The minute the diaper or pullups go back on she goes. I know you might be thinking then dont put them on her.....then she would pee on my floor. No thank you. Been there done ( Read more... )

Every time I hear that song I'm reminded of how lucky I am to be here today.

Try giving her a small treat for trying to go potty. Then when she actually succeeds in going, give her 2 small treats every time she goes. We used colored mini marshmallows.

Its a very moving song. Im lucky that in my life it never escaled to that. My childhood wasnt great at times but Im blessed compared to others.

Today was so much better with the potty training. Not nearly as fusterating. As of today she gets one treat for trying and a bigger treat when she actually goes. She went on the potty this morning! We were really excited. Kinda sad when the highlight of my day is my daughter going potty. sigh. lol.

Potty training is so tricky! My sister and I didn't get either of our oldest potty trained until they were FOUR. But our younger two trained immediately as soon as the oldest was. So I guess all Kayson needed was to see Joey potty trained. Do you know anyone around her age that's potty trained? Maybe her hanging out and being around another potty trained kid will encourage her to be potty trained too ( ... )

I agree. Lucas has been a different baby since he got sick. I hope all of it passes quickly. He has been miserable. I think he is teething on top of it. He screamed for the majority of the day today. Ugh. The only time he really stopped was when I was holding him standing, rocking him, feeding him or he was sleeping. It made for a long day ( ... )

hahaha...Lucas the lil Terror. :P I like the idea of changing his diaper in the bathroom. I think I've actually heard of that somewhere. If we had a bigger bathroom I'd do that, but we seriously have a cubby hole of a bathroom. The only place to change him would be on the floor right in front of the toilet and the boys aren't nearly coordinated enough for that to be sanitary! lol Hopefully we'll move soon *fingers crossed* and the new place will have a bigger bathroom. :P But yea for lil girlie embracing the potty training! I think it's hard for them too sometimes when there's a younger kid in the house still in diapers. Even Kayson and Joey wanted to wear diapers again when they noticed Ethan wears them. I think it's mostly so they can embrace play time when one of them acts like the baby and the other acts like the mommy/daddy. :P

Yeah he is normally the sweetest calmest baby. He only fusses when he needed to be fed, tired or bum changed. Yesterday though it was crazy. He screamed most of the day. I thought my head was going to explode. I was never happier for 9:30 to come and for him to go to bed. Yikes. Today has been better but still rough.

Sophie is doing well now. Its like a switch flipped. She decided that she wanted to and now she is going on the potty. Only once yesterday but twice so far today. I am super proud of her!
