Busy Saturday
Today was a busy Saturday. We have been getting ready for Chris's brother to join us. He will be here tomorrow night. I am glad to hear that he already has a job to go to when he is here. This last weekend I spent with my family. I went to Edmonton and saw my mom and sister. Its hard enough knowing they are not here in the city but that they are unhappy with the life that they have made up there makes me sad. I miss them and I know that they miss us. But life goes on. Grief
On my daughters birthday, I found out that my aunt has terminal cancer in the liver. It was a hard blow. I had never been particularly close to this aunt. My dads side of the family is considerably older than my moms side. It is much harder to relate. She is a nice lady, a good wife and loving mother and grandmother. My big baby boy!
So I was going to wait to post until tomorrow but was just to excited not too! My baby boy crawled for the first time today! He crawled across the living room right to me! So excited but mildly scared. The basement steps are really steep. Hopefully the baby gates will hold him as he gets really rough with things when they are in his way. He starts ( Read more... ) -
Mothers day, kid updates and meme
A happy belated mothers day to all my LJ friends. Wanted to take yesterday off the computer just to spend with my family. It wasnt a great day. Not a bad day but just not a great day for me. We were supposed to take Sophie for her potty treats today. She was going to get to go swimming and then to Chuck E Cheese. She has earned two potty treats and we were going to go today. Yesterday ended much better than it started. Still angry with Chris but more in control because I actually slept the whole night. I got 5 hours of uninterupted sleep. The Lucas woke up at 5:15. The meltdown.
Oh I had a meltdown with the children today. Now I feel guilty about it. It was a horrible scene. I have been so tired lately. I take care of the kids, the house, meals, do the grocery shopping, laundry. You name it, I pretty much do it. I make sure everything is ready for Chris. If he needs work cloths, I make sure that he has clean work clothes. ( Read more... ) -
Quite day. Kid updates.
Today has been a quiet day. The kids have been relatively good considering they have been pretty couped up. When I go to make dinner tonight I am going to let Sophie run around the backyard a bit. She needs to get rid of some of the excess energy she has. I dont know where said energy comes from.It baffles me. Most likely her dad. She is always on ( Read more... ) -
Monday
Yesterday was a good time with my kids. I was election day so I took the kids and walked over to the high school to vote then decided because it was a beautiful day that me and the kids would go to the zoo. Yea.
