Since my last post:

-Major career change
-Move to another state (1400 miles)
-Death in immediate family

Needless to say, I haven't had much time (or mental focus) for writing. But lately, I've begun writing scenes and dialogue in my head again, which is a sure sign that written words are soon to follow. Wish me luck!

Thanks for the condolences.

I'm working as a medical science liaison for a pharmaceutical company (a non-sales scientific position). Still using my M.D. but no longer practicing medicine.

Hope things are going well for you.

Hope you are settling in Boston. Let those words out!

Feel free to send us anything later on...

We're getting used to Massachusetts. The weather's been beautiful lately. We live in a nice neighborhood near a lake/walking trail, so we've been outdoors quite a bit. Still miss Florida, though.

I'm having a major case of CGW (critique group withdrawal) :) I hope everyone's writing/marketing is going well. Any news on Surf Mules? When are your other 2 books hitting the shelves?

Surf Mules is still making the rounds but following Bushes example, we have called for a surge. Instead of hitting 2 editors at a time as we've been doing, we went to the big list and now 11 editors have it as of last week. Lots of very good rejections but it is a tricky book to place, so I am patient.

Chess Rumble will be out in October, maybe September. The illustrations are done, you can see some here: http://jessewatson.com/Books/CHESS/ChessIndex.htm

Everyone wants to know how you're doing. Looks like you're settling in a little now...hope you are liking it.

Go Red Sox!

I have my fingers crossed that Surf Mules finds a good home soon.

The illustrations for Chess Rumble are fantastic! I can't wait to see the entire book in print. You've got a real winner there. Congratulations!

Thanks for the welcome and congratulations as well as the condolences.

Now if I could just get those pesky words to behave the way I want them to :)
