i attended the idaho democratic caucus in boise tonight... never mind about the broken leg (even though i had to walk almost 4 blocks with my crutches); people were actually saluting me (verbally; not in a military fashion or anything) for making the effort to come out to show my support... i felt really proud & responsible & glad i made the effort ( Read more... )

Was there some previous note about broken leg?

(My math on the primary is the same as yours...only with no tearing up - possibly because primaries are different from caucusing.)

I think caucusing would be kind of fun. We have a primary here, and it's not till March. I'm feeling irrelevant.

well, if last night's analysts & pundits are correct, things may still be up in the air when march rolls around. and, like it or not, ohio is important, if not in the primary season, certainly during the general election... (idaho, alas, is not...)

btw, i just have to say that you're *killing* me with that icon. how dare thee denigrate my great little home state?!

but yeah, i know what you mean about the caucus v. primary experience. 'twas inspiring, when it wasn't just sitting around waiting for the totals... we saw a wee baby (not more than ~6 mos. old, tops), in a snuggly that read 'my first caucus' across the back. i mentioned to my friends that *i* really needed one of those; it was my first caucus, too!

though the air boot might make it difficult to negotiate a full-body, front-snap-up jumpsuit-type article of clothing ;)
