This is how my life goes lately: In the past couple of months, I've watched a lot of stuff. 30+ episodes of Chuck to catch up to (nearly) current? Check. 30+ episodes of Lie to Me and falling in love with it? Check. 40+ episodes of Castle? Check. Anxiously waiting for the newest Supernatural episode, watching it, and having thoughts and

I wish I knew these shows you were talking about...I must watch....the anime I mean. I'm only new to anime but I just love it so much. I'm kind of discovering that I'm a little partial to shoujo but I do love BL (obviously) and other than that..not sure...So any recs of where to start would be great because it's all a little overwhelming to begin with XD
I do love Supernatural though and Castle and pretty much anything else that's on XDD

*curious* How much anime have you watched before? And before I start making recommendations, do you have any preferred genres? Like, do you prefer fighting series or slower-paced series? Would you prefer something light and fluffy or do you go for something heavy and serious? Or something LOL-worthy? How important is animation quality versus storytelling? Longer series or shorter series? Anime vs manga, do you have a preference? Do you prefer focus on male characters or female characters or a mix of the two?
There's no much BL anime that can measure up to the Junjou Romantica anime, imo. I liked Gravitation but I'll admit that it's pretty dated by now. LOVELESS is shounen ai at best, but it's a beautiful series and the anime is fairly faithful to the manga, for memory. I haven't finished Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru (aka Uraboku) yet, but it got a bit of a following and I liked the first two ( ... )

If you like a mix between light&fluffy moments with the occasional more serious moments, Fruits Basket is a really excellent series to watch, as it's one of the classics of shoujo anime. And it's actually a really good adaptation! If you don't mind that they only covered about half of the series with the anime. (But it ends on a good note.)
Skip Beat! is excellent, though, it's more frantically paced and focused on humor than Kimi ni Todoke was, it's still one of the best shoujo anime adaptations out there, too. I love the main OTP of the series, but even more I love the main character herself, she is hardcore awesome.
If you don't mind longer series, One Piece is my favorite anime/manga pretty much ever. It's going on nearly 500 episodes now but a) they go ( ... )

Last time I watched, Sayaka became a magical girl.

I was a little hesitant over Sayaka's magical girl costume, but I kind of really love it now. ♥

I had to go look Sailor Moon up and the first episode starts with Usagi sleeping in bed, but no dream sequence. (As I recall, while Rei has some psychic abilities, I don't think Usagi has many of them?) Cardcaptor Sakura was the one that came to mind for me, totally! The cutesy antics in the opening segments are very similar to CCS style antics, too ( ... )
