I am at least attempting to keep these suckers balanaged.

► I spent a lot of time glued the NHK live stream and the BBC live stream as everything was unfolding, which was sort of working me up into a bit of despair. Thus, I am determinedly balancing it out with nerdy talk about anime and manga. (Even if I do keep sneaking back to the BBC updates probably more than I should ( Read more... )

How does the animation look/how does the overall trailer look? Because I kind of really like this series and I seem to have terrible luck with anime adaptations of manga I like!

I like it... It's from Aniplex, so it kinda has the FMA:Brotherhood feel to it, the look of the anime, that is XD

And the seiyuu cast is damn good, which is a big, big plus in my book ^^

Well, I don't recall any rage at any Aniplex anime series off the top of my head, so hopefully it'll go well. It'll be hard to tell until the actual series comes out, I'm sure.

Oh, crap, now I have to go find a cast list, damn you! XD

True, I think I've read/saw at least one fanfic/fanart of EveryoneElsexTieria. All that is left is a Tieria gang bang and I'm a happy Tieria fangirl XD

I know I've definitely seen all of the other Meisters with Tieria, but I'm not sure I've seen all of the women with him. ....someone should start compiling a list.

..............and someone should write that EVERYONE/Tieria fic. Preferably with porn. >_>

I haven't read a G00 fanfic in a while, but I pretty sure I've read a Sumeragi, Mileina, Feldt x Tieria fanfics. But I can't remember where exactly where...

As the discussions on lj/dw/tumblr going around have basically all unanimously agreed--Ouri is not that interesting of a character, still. I find his relevance to the plot interesting enough

Oh, is there more Shikabane Hime discussion going on somewhere?

I agree with you about Ouri. I hate when characters are kept in the dark "for their own good," but I'm none too impressed how Ouri is handling his quest for answers, either. In the second part of the SVU storyline, for instance, he interrupted *two* Shikabane Hime in their fights because he wanted answers *now.* There's a time and a place, and Ouri hasn't figured that out.

Makina's stalker girl,

I'm really disappointed with how Nozomi was introduced in the anime. Going by wikipedia, she develops a fascination with death in the manga, too, but she was better integrated into the overall series before then. I found her really heartbreaking in the manga.

And, while I'm not sure if it's related, my suspicions are raised about Ouri punching that guy in episode 4, where he ( ... )

We know that the Shikabane Hime go to heaven if they kill 108 corpses. What happens to the ones who die before they reach their goal?

I'm surprised that there's not a *lot* more corpses than there already are. A strong attachment is enough to bring someone back as a corpse--the kids killing each other for their own survival in the SUV, the idol's desire to keep singing, the mother's love for her child--so wouldn't *most* people have some reason to come back? I don't know how many people die without some regret or desire left unfilled, but it seems like a minority of people would be completely at peace with their own death.

I've been wondering that, too! Do they go to hell? Do they just cease to exist? Go into a reincarnation cycle? I'm surprised that that hasn't been addressed yet.

I assume there must be some special condition to the Shikabane and the Shikabane Hime--like, why do they only use women? Why not Shikabane Ouji? I really have a lot of questions and not a whole lot of theories yet. :/

some special condition to the Shikabane and the Shikabane Hime

That, at least, I know there's an answer to!

That's one of the reasons I like it so much, yeah, it's basically the mold that so much of the shoujo manga I've read is made from. It's fantastic that it still holds up so well even so many years later. *___*

I wish we could get a good translation of it. ;__; And for there to be a new anime series based on the manga. ;___; And her other manga, too. ;____;

I'm only on the second volume (I'm easily distracted orz) but I can see how it could definitely turn into a heartbreaker of a series. ....why do I keep picking up the heartbreaking ones? ;__;
