If I had to look at this thing any longer, I was going to flip a table.

► FARMVILLE:→ I accomplished a fair amount on Farmville, including getting another Silkie chicken and completing my Home Farm's sheep pen, but most of it kind of passed in a haze of the Redecorating Fever. I have been breeding a lot of sheep on my home farm with my polka dot sheep (probably four or five of them now) and NOT A SINGLE LAMB HAS ( Read more... )

I'm kind of on the fence about the orange flowers with the tan horses, it almost makes it hard to see, and the white fence looks terrible with it, but that might just be a question of waiting for a new fence design.

Well, then I have awful taste, because that was my favorite of your pens! I love how fiery and vibrant it looks. Someone should write a childrens book about one of your ponies that lives in that pen.

DON'T TEMPT ME. Fanfic about my Farmville farm would be an all new low even for me. And yet--!! You got me thinking about it now....

(Though, I have to admit, you made me take a second look at it now that I've taken a break from it for a bit and I think I do like it a little more than I originally thought. .....and I am going to have ridiculous amounts of fun with the orange flowers and horses when fall gets here. >_>)

You know, that's a really interesting point and I agree! I don't think I'd want it all the time for every series (sometimes I like a series like One Piece that's just long in terms of having a lot of canon, rather than having a lot of different versions) but with Sailor Moon, it works really well. The great thing is that each version does something the other versions didn't, giving each of them their own reason to stand out/to add to the overall canon. It allows all these different possibilities to be explored or different aspects to be focused on, in a way that a singular canon wouldn't ( ... )

There are definitely things I've come to love the anime for, but. Oh, goodness, did Naoko do an amazing job of the chemistry between Usagi and Mamoru, you can just feel how... epic in scale they are, even when they're just having a conversation in his apartment. (I think only PGSM came close to the chemistry between them?)

I am delighted to hear that! *BEAMS* The anime is actually really interesting (so long as you take it as almost a completely separate creature from the manga) and did a lot of cool things that I liked! And I've been finding that I've gained a lot of appreciation for it by watching it properly in order and in the original language, so of course I want to encourage you into it, too. :D♥

Is your polka dot sheep a ram? If so, at least a couple of your lambs should have polka dots since the gene passes by the father.

For me, it generally works but if I really want dots, I usually will up the ante by pairing a polka dotted ewe with the polka dotted ram.

It's that ewe from... oh, I forget what special it was now, but the purple one with the pink polka dots that was from a few weeks or so ago? None of my rams have any designs, so I'm trying to get a pattern through the ewe, but I'm not sure if it'll work at all or if it's just really difficult. I've tried several now and they're all without pattern and its sort of driving me nuts. orz

Yeah, that's your problem, you need a polka dot ram since pattern passes through the father. You won't be able to get a polka dot lamb from a polka dot ewe, although I've heard you might be different for the other special patterns like stars and camo (maybe because they've been hacked?).

So I'm pretty much definitely stuck to not having any patterns unless I buy the ram from the market? Auuuuggghhh. $30 Farmcash is just too ridiculous for one sheep, even if it does have a pattern!
