→ I have been ignoring pretty much everything lately and I have felt sort of neglectful, but it's also not my fault. Let me recreate a conversation I had, late one night:

Siobhan: So, I have a new theory.
Becky: Oh? *side-eyes*
Siobhan: In fact, it is perhaps better described as a cunning plan. Because I have a new theoretical (and CUNNING) ( Read more... )

KIMI NI TODOKE. I have so much love for that series. I adore every. single. character. I'm totally with you on the Kurumi love. I don't understand anyone who doesn't love her. (I randomly ship Kurumi/Pin too. It got me before Ayane/Pin and even though I'm down with that... I just love how frustrated Kurumi gets)

DITTO to your Kazehaya thoughts. I love how he's totally not perfect, and how he knows it and it always so embarrassed when Sawako goes on about how great he is ( ... )

KIMI NI TODOKE! I haven't actually looked into the fandom, but I suspect that Kurumi's character would be easy for some fans to hate, because she's the rival and she's sharp-tongued and underhanded, but I just... I love her so much! She was a decent person underneath and she faced Sawako as a true rival and she stepped back once she'd made her feelings clear and just a;sldkfjalskj I LOVE HERRRR SO MUCH. She is SO COMPLETELY ADORABLE when she gets frustrated and I hope that that happens forever. (If I hadn't been bitten by Pin/Ayane first, I might have shipped that, too. Because PIN THINKING SHE HAD A CRUSH ON HIM, omg, it was amazing ( ... )

Madoka's ending was a bit mixed for me but overall I enjoyed the series so much that WHATEVER, I'LL TAKE IT.

And have you seen this?

I have found that, the more I think it over, the more I can appreciate it. But it'll probably still always be missing that extra emotional punch that I was hoping for. Still, not a bad ending!

OMG THAT IS-- that's kind of horrible and adorable at the same time!

I was kind of disappointed the first time I saw the final two episodes last night, but then I did a rewatch today and found myself enjoying them so much more. Like a lot of people, I went in expecting to be absolutely blown away and was all "...huh?" when I wasn't.

That said, I like that we get the 'good' end without it being all that happy. I wish Sayaka wasn't destined to have a sucky ending no matter what, and I also wish we'd found out what/who Walpurgisnacht actually was (I also thought it might be Homura, which would have been pretty neat).

Naked space hugging was wonderful. Epic Homura battle was epic. It's been a while since we last had such an awesome fight scene. I was always pretty much indifferent to her until episode 10. Then she ended up as my favourite once the series finally ended. Then again, I love all the girls to itty bitty pieces. It's why I'm one of the few people not opposed to some slice of life spin off show. I'm not sure if that rumour ever will come true, but I certainly wouldn't say no to it. ♥

I think you're right that, after some time to digest it a bit, it gains a lot of points and makes more sense for what they were going for. But I still feel like the ending lacked the emotional punch that previous episodes had, that only a really bad ending could have given us. While I think I can get what they were going for and it's certainly an interesting ending and had a lot of really epic moments, I think it still couldn't live up to the build-up ( ... )

Hey there! I love reading all your fangirl rants, and just out of curiosity, have you stepped into the Macross Frontier fandom? It has your awesome heroines, a frustrating love triangle and things blowing up. xD

Hi! Thank you for the kind words! ♥ I haven't watched Macross Frontier, but I've always kind of meant to, because it had such amazing looking fanart (which I'm super weak to), but now that you've got it on my mind again.... *__*
