Yeah the Starfire plotline was just really super gross. I like this take on it, I'm just going to pretend that's how the dialogue went and not bother with any more of the series. So far the reboot's disappointing, I was hoping for a chance to maybe try actually getting into DC since I've avoided it mostly because there's so many years of backstory I'll never catch up on.

Thank you for pointing that out, I definitely like that take much better! It's really frustrating because I wanted to believe in DC, that this reboot might bring us some new, fun things. But there has been ONE issue so far that I really liked (and, okay, there are still a few that came out today that I'll read, but I'm really not holding out hope) and so much grossness that it bothers me a lot. I'll probably read for awhile longer, maybe another month or so, but then I'll just... lose interest.

Personally, even if I do have issues with them sometimes, too, I BY FAR recommend Marvel over DC if you want to read comic books.

(Mostly I'm just really sad that Lobdell wrote Red Hood and the Outlaws because, oh, he used to be so good. Whyyyyy.)
