What has essentially been a month-long date, bookended by drunken revelry, comes to an end tonight. Things are going obscenely well. Really. Bombs have been dropped, friends have been shocked, some into good-natured jealousy, others into skeptical disbelief. Mostly, they're happy I'm happy, and that's all I'm asking for.
I like being tired with her. Traditionally, fatigue angers me. I dislike being reminded that my meatsuit has to be rested occasionally, and I tend to compensate with solitude. Not so much lately. Going to her place at midnight after a shift and stealing a few hours rest with her hair in my face, then shuttling home for a few more hours when she leaves for her work ould have been unthinkable before. It's unsustainable, of course, but the naturalness of it felt remarkable.
So I'm tidying my living space, which has been more or less neglected for the last month, and thinking about sustainability. It's never something I've considered in this context before. It bears some pondering.
Also, there is a pretty bitchin' pinoy rock band called Taken By Cars that I discovered via a fellow filip's post on my warhammer guild boards.
